Project Background
The Ecological Reserve Estrela Universal Amazônia is a sustainable development project prioritizing biodiversity conservation.
This project is located in the municipality of Guajará, Amazonas, that has a total population of 13,000 inhabitants. Its local economy is based on agriculture, livestock farming, gaming, fishing and extraction of natural resources.
Covering 20,000 hectares, the reserve consists of original and virgin forest areas, streams, and watercourses. It is the largest private natural reserve in the State of Amazonas and the 9th largest in the country of Brazil.
